Ah this history teacher would LOVE to visit the Biltmore and take a behind the scenes tour! Our next visit I would love to do a private guided tour! I would love to go back with my husband and explore! I think I’d like the behind the scenes tour and the library! We’ve put off going on vacation to save for our adoption. And I think we would BOTH enjoy the outriders! I would love to try the Outriders tour! Looks like a great trip!! It looks like a lot of fun and romantic. I was at the Biltmore last December but would love to go in the fall and take a behind the scene tour. I lived in the Asheville area for a few years while in college and never had a chance to go (and couldn’t afford it as a broke college student!) I’d give the tickets to my sister who lives in North Carolina! I wish I had had more time to explore more than just the self-guided house tour. What a gorgeous place. The view from the backyard, the thought that the landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted put into framing the house with trees so it looked like a park but wouldn’t be blocked, and the reflecting pond at the base of the hill the house was seated on are just a few of the details that went into the production of this place.
